Huawei introduced HarmonyOS at the Huawei Developers Conference (HDC) 2019. At the event, the company also shared a roadmap that mentions version 2.0 will be released in 2020 with support for PCs, cars, and smart wearable devices.

 

So all this happens in accordance with the plan disclosed by the company last year. We can expect that the announcement of HarmonyOS 2.0 will take place at the Huawei 2020 Developer Conference later this year.

In addition, Kunpeng processors are not new, as the company already supplies them to its corporate customers for computing solutions. In 2019, Huawei also announced its first desktop motherboard based on the Kunpeng 920 processor with support for all the necessary equipment. However, this motherboard is not yet available to consumers.
