Redmi K50 Gaming Series: Specifications and Launch Date

Key specs of the Redmi K50 Gaming series smartphones and release date details have surfaced online. Not so long ago, the alleged model numbers of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series smartphones, Redmi K50 appeared on the Internet. There is now more information available on two of these smartphones. Fresh information on the two Xiaomi phones comes from Xiaomiui.

Despite the lack of official confirmation, the upcoming phones from Xiaomi have been associated with the codenames Matisse and Rubens. In addition, the devices are reported to be associated with model numbers L10 and L11A, respectively. New scraps of information about the aforementioned smartphones were found in the IMEI database, as well as in the MIUI code.

Xiaomi Matisse (L10)

There will be three regional versions of Matisse. These include India, China and even the global version. The IMEI database associates model numbers 21121210I, 21121210G, and 21121210C with the above options. Also, it will likely go official in China under the Redmi brand. However, in other regions it will be launched under the Poco brand. For those who don't know, the first four digits of the Xioami phone model number represent the year and month of release.

In other words, the Xiaomi Matisse (L10) smartphone is likely to go on sale this December. According to Xiaomiui report This launch schedule is unlikely given that the phone's software is still under development. However, under the hood of the phone is reportedly the new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC will be installed. It will be equipped with an OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz or 144Hz.

Redmi K50 Pro +

In addition, it will likely come with a built-in Goodix and FPC fingerprint scanner. In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Matisse (L10) will reportedly house a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, a 13MP OmniVision OV13B10 ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP OmniVision OV08856 tele macro and a GalaxyCore GC2M02 1MP depth sensor on the back. Xiaomi may release another variant of the phone, which has a main camera Samsung ISOCELL HM2 108 MP.

The phone will likely launch in China as the Redmi K50 Gaming / Redmi K50 Gaming Pro. In other markets, it will be called POCO F4 GT. As a reminder, Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of the Redmi brand, confirmed that a phone with a gaming version of the Redmi K50 is currently in development.

Gaming Series Redmi K50 - Xiaomi Rubens (L11A)

The Xiaomi Rubens phone has a Chinese variant with model number 22041211AC. Unsurprisingly, the phone will most likely be launched under the Redmi brand in China. According to Xiaomiui report, this phone could be released as Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition. As a reminder, the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is sold worldwide as the POCO X3 GT. It will likely appear in the development stage as the Redmi K40 Gaming Standard Edition.

Redmi K40 Gaming includes Dimensity 1200 and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G will draw its power from Dimensity 1100 SoC. Likewise, the Xiaomi Rubens will likely ship with the upcoming Dimensity 7000 chip. This processor is reported to be a less powerful version of the Dimensity 9000, which will reportedly be powered by the Xiaomi Matisse. The phone will likely have a 3MP Samsung ISOCELL GW64 main camera on the back.
