Xiaomi spokesman: No plans to launch Mi 10 Ultra and other devices worldwide

Yesterday at the Xiaomi 10th Anniversary event, the tech giant announced a number of amazing products. The lineup has the Mi 10 Ultra, the first phone to support 120W fast charging. There's also the Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition, a literally transparent flat screen TV. Xiaomi official said there are no plans for a global release of these products.

Daniel D. (@ Daniel_in-HD), Senior Product Marketing Manager and Global Representative for Xiaomi, revealed in his tweet that there are no plans for a global release of the Mi 10 Ultra. Redmi K30 Ultra [19459003], Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition and Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition.

The tweet was retweeted by David Liu, Xiaomi Global Social Media Specialist.

This is certainly disappointing news, but there is still a chance that at least one of these products could receive an international release by the end of the year. However, the chances of the Mi 10 Ultra receiving a global release may be the smallest of all.

For starters, Xiaomi has not announced Mi 9 Pro 5G outside of China last year. So it's understandable why there are no plans to launch the Mi 10 Ultra globally. Another reason is that the flagship Mi 10 Ultra is being assembled in the new Xiaomi Smart Factory, a fully automated production line of the next generation, which is dedicated to the manufacture of flagships and as a testing ground for high-tech products.

The Mi 10 Ultra is the first premium smartphone to be assembled in this factory, which means that if Xiaomi is going to launch a device outside of China, it will have to be exported to these markets, which will significantly increase the price. The same can be said for the Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition.

In any case, we can look forward to the arrival of the Mi 11 (if it is called that and they do not take Samsung's step and move to the Mi 20). Next year, the flagship should launch globally and pack some of the Mi 10 Ultra's features, including 120W fast charging.
