MediaTek mocks Qualcomm: only one company in the world has a problem with heating microcircuits, but not ours

MediaTek and Qualcomm are adversaries in the field of smartphone processors. Qualcomm has always been the "king" in the flagship processor market. While MediaTek does well in mid-range and entry-level markets, it is not particularly visible in the flagship market. However, the mid to entry-level markets are enough to make MediaTek the world's largest chip maker. Smartphone processors are becoming more powerful and technology is improving. However, the experience doesn't have to be good.

Snapdragon 8 Gen1

This year we had a heating issue on flagship smartphones. This is more noticeable on smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and 888+ processors. On this issue, MediaTek, which has just released Dimensity 9000, is very confident. The company claims there is only one company in the world that has a chip heat issue, but that is not MediaTek. We all know the Taiwanese manufacturer is taking a subtle blow at Qualcomm.

MediaTek expresses great confidence in the performance of the Dimensity 9000. According to the company, all samples it sent to manufacturers have returned with very positive feedback. This means that many companies will be switching to the flagship Dimensity 9000 processor.

Samsung will use MediaTek Dimensity 9000

Samsung will test flagship processor according to Sammobile report MediaTek Dimension 9000. @UniverseIce claims Samsung is one of numerous companies testing the flagship Dimensity 9000 processor. If the South Korean manufacturer deems the performance and power efficiency sufficient, it will use the chip in its flagship Galaxy smartphone or tablet.

Dimensity 9000

There is already confirmation that the Samsung Galaxy S22 will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and Exynos 2200. So Samsung could use the Dimensity 9000 in high-end devices in the second half of the year. The Dimensity 9000 will most likely not appear in the Galaxy S22 series. However, we will most likely see this chip in other flagship devices, most likely in tablets.

Samsung admires the superior power management performance of the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. This chip uses TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process, which is better than Samsung's own 4nm EUV manufacturing process. The power management performance of Snapdragon flagship processors has always been terrible. The Snapdragon 888 is a complete mess when it comes to power management. Most likely, the Dimensity 9000 will outperform the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 in terms of power management.

Samsung is currently the only mobile phone manufacturer to use three flagship processors. The company will likely use the Samsung Exynos 2200, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and MediaTek Dimensity 9000. Most manufacturers will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and MediaTek Dimensity 9000. Samsung's Exynos Flagship chips are mostly found in their own Galaxy S series.
