Samsung kicks off global launch of its Neo QLED TVs

Samsung Electronics earlier this week announced the launch of 21 models of its new Neo QLED series, three more than LG Electronics " 18 OLED TV models she plans to launch.

The company made an announcement at its online event Unbox & Discover, in which it said it is applying quantum matrix technology and quantum processors to its Neo QLED TVs. It is noteworthy that the new models offer 12-bit brightness control and 4096 steps, which provide high contrast ratio and black detail.

In addition, the TV also has 16 neural engines that optimize 4K and 8K resolutions. Of the 21 new editions, 8 will support 8K and will arrive in three series and four different sizes, including 85, 75, 65 and 55-inch variants. However, the company will only release four 8K TVs in its domestic market in South Korea along with 9 4K TVs. Samsung also added that the Neo QLED TVs will also feature better gaming performance and enhanced intelligence, coupled with an AI-powered sound system.

The company also showcased its Micro LED TVs during an online event, which used micrometer-sized LEDs that emit light themselves. In addition, the event featured the series LifeStyle TV, The Frame, The Serif, The Sero, The Premiere and The Terrace. For gaming, the 2021 iteration of the Odyssey G9 gaming monitor with MiniLED technology, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time has also been announced.
