The OnePlus Buds Pro Special Edition in the very attractive Mithril color was presented with a lot of amazing features. During the recently concluded OnePlus 10 Pro China launch event, the company unveiled the OnePlus Buds Pro Mithril Edition. The recently introduced version of the flagship truly wireless earbuds is painted in a silver color called "Mithril". This nickname can be attributed to the attractive silvery metallic texture. In addition, the charging case has the same coating.
However, despite the new metallic finish, the special edition retains design elements from the original OnePlus Buds Pro earbuds. For the uninitiated, Mithril alludes to the fictional metal referenced in JRR Tolkien's fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings. The metal bears a striking resemblance to silver. However, it is reported to be lighter and stronger than steel.

The attractive OnePlus Buds Pro Mithril Edition earbuds went on sale in China on Tuesday, January 11th. In the official Oppo store they are sold at a starting price of 699 yuan, which is roughly equivalent to INR. 8100. However, the headphones will set you back 799 RMB (about INR 9300) after the promotion ends. As a reminder, the original OnePlus Buds Pro went on sale in India for INR 9 (about $990) back in August last year.
OnePlus Buds Pro specifications and features
The OnePlus Buds Pro is equipped with 11mm dynamic drivers capable of reproducing rich bass. In addition, the headphones support ANC (Active Noise Canceling). This feature uses intelligent active noise canceling algorithms, combined with a three-microphone setup, to reduce ambient noise by up to 40 decibels. In addition, Buds Pro has Extreme, Smart and Faint ANC modes. Much to the delight of avid gamers, the headphones come with a low latency setting that provides a latency of just 94 milliseconds.
Mithril Buds Pro is manufactured using NCVM (Non-Conductive Vacuum Metallizing) technology. As a result, the headphones take on a metallic effect. In addition, the earbuds and case have a fingerprint-resistant coating. For connectivity, the new OnePlus TWS has OnePlus Fast Pair and Bluetooth 5.2. In addition, it offers support for the LHDC audio codec. With ANC off, the earbuds can play music for up to 7 hours. However, they do offer around 5 hours of playtime with ANC enabled.
The earbuds' playback capabilities are increased to 38 hours (no ANC) with the charging case on a single charge. However, when ANC is on, music playback is reduced to 28 hours. In addition, each earbud is powered by a 40mAh battery. Likewise, the case is powered by a 520mAh battery. The company's proprietary Warp Charge technology provides about 10 hours of audio playback after 10 minutes of charging.
