Android 11 update starts rolling out to Motorola Edge + (Verizon)

Last year, Motorola announced Edge+, the flagship on Snapdragon 865 with curved display and 108MP main rear camera. Phone that launched with Android 10 out of the box is now getting an update Android 11.

The update released by Verizon not only includes all the new features Android 11 has to offer, such as chat bubbles, built-in screen recorder, updated media controls, device controls, and new permission settings; The update also contains the March 2021 security patch and fixes some known bugs.

This update is one of two major OS updates that Motorola has promised to get on the phone. It was originally planned to provide only one OS update, but after much criticism, it was announced that "at least two Android OS updates" would be provided. Knowing Motorola, we are sure that it will not pass by two, and we do not expect that the update Android 12 will appear this year.

The Motorola Edge + features a 6,7-inch 2340 × 1080 display with a hole in the top left corner for a 25MP front camera. It is paired with a Snapdragon 865 processor and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage.

Its 108MP main camera comes with an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, a 16MP ultra wide-angle camera with autofocus and a ToF 3D camera for capturing depth. The phone can record in both 4K and 6K at 30fps.

Motorola ships the phone with a massive 5000mAh battery and supports 18W fast wired charging, 15W fast wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. It also has NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, audio jack, and stereo speakers.

The phone that launched for $ 999 is now available for $ 799,99 on Motorola's US site.
