Lenovo Products Legion are well known for their game-focused approach. Lenovo recently expanded its Legion Gaming lineup to smartphones. Now the company is pushing it into the tablet segment. The Chinese firm is one of the brands that have a strong portfolio of tablets, now that portfolio is becoming more diversified with new gaming-focused tablets. The new device bears the nickname Lenovo Legion Y700 and features a large display with a high refresh rate.

Technical specifications Lenovo Legion Y700

The Lenovo Legion Y700 was announced in China recently and will go on sale pretty soon. The company has yet to announce pricing details for this device. Likewise, the company did not reveal all the specs, but did share some of the display specs and features of this gaming tablet.

The Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet features an 8,8-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. When horizontally, the screen has slightly thick bezels on the sides, which provide ample surface for players to hold the tablet while gaming.

As a gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 supports 120Hz refresh rates. It has a sampling rate of 240Hz and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. On the back, the tablet has a single rear camera sensor with LED flash. Other features include a brushed metal finish design. The tablet also boasts JBL-tuned speakers and Dolby Atmos support. We suspect the tablet has four speakers for immersive audio.

As for the technical characteristics, the details are still unknown. The tablet is rumored to draw its power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It will be the first tablet to be powered by Qualcomm's new flagship platform. It boasts ARMv9 cores and is based on a 4nm manufacturing process. There is 1 ARM Cortex-X2 core up to 3 GHz, 3 ARM Cortex-A710 cores up to 2,5 GHz, and 4 ARM Cortex-A510 cores up to 1,8 GHz. The device can be supplied with 8 GB RAM or 12 GB with up to 256 GB internal storage. The tablet can also trigger physical triggers and some tactile feedback. Maybe the cooling system is good, and there is plenty of room for it.

Lenovo Legion Y700 may hit the market in the first quarter of 2022. Given this announcement, we suspect more details will be available very soon.
