IQOO Neo 5s renders reveal smartphone design

iQOO is expected to unveil its latest smartphones in 2022 on December 20. The new devices will be presented in the form of iQOO Neo 5s and iQOO Neo 5 SE. The company has already teased at least some of the future smartphone designs. We already know most of its specs, and we now have some images to complement our view of the upcoming flagship killer. New Image Courtesy of Weibo distributor Digital Chat Station.

Thanks to the new images, we can get a good idea of the appearance of the iQOO Neo 5s in the real world. The images show a flat front display with a punch-hole selfie camera. As suggested in previous leaks and teasers, the device will have pressure sensitivity and a dedicated display chip for some sort of frame processing. This will bring relief to the processor and maintain performance when the screen requires a high refresh rate. A bit about pressure sensitivity is quite interesting, after all, companies have tried to trend it before, but to no avail. Let's see how this technology will perform in 2022. The display is a 6,56-inch OLED panel and has a 120Hz refresh rate.

The stated characteristics of the iQOO Neo 5s

As far as we know, one of three shots on the back of the iQOO Neo 5s is a 48MP Sony IMX598 device with onboard OIS. This happens according to the inscription next to the island of the camera. We believe the iQOO Neo 5s will carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and fast charge up to 66W. Unfortunately, the exact capacity of the battery remains a mystery, but we can expect anything between 4500 and 5000 mAh. This is the standard for smartphones in this category, including iQOO devices. The device will ship with Android 12 and OriginOS Ocean right out of the box, which is a welcome addition.

As previously reported by iQOO, the device will be equipped with intriguing new internals to dissipate heat. It is made from rare earth materials to ensure maximum performance even in heavy games. We expect the company to continue to hype about its upcoming device in just a few days. It will be a Chinese device for now, but we expect it to hit other markets soon, including India.
