Huawei will release HarmonyOS Beta 3 later this month; stable version will be released in April

Huawei has been working on its own HarmonyOS (HongMeng OS in China) for several years, and now the Chinese giant is preparing to launch a new version of HarmonyOS Beta 3.

Beta 3 of HarmonyOS will be released later this year for testing, starting March 31st, and a stable version for commercial use will be released in April.

For those who don't know, HarmonyOS Beta was released to smartphone developers, and on February 22nd Huawei Consumer Business CEO Yu Chengdong said the new version will be released in April and the company's entire phone will be updated to HarmonyOS, starting with the foldable Mate X2 smartphone.

A report from China, which received information from Huawei employees, claims that the release of a new HarmonyOS will take place in early April. The report also mentions a direct demonstration that HarmonyOS-based smartphones can be connected to home AV equipment, fitness equipment and small appliances, and related functions can be quickly activated using the device.

The first batch of devices to receive the latest update for this operating system includes Huawei Mate X2, Huawei Mate 40 series and Huawei P40 series. The company is also working on a new flagship smartphone of the Huawei P50 series, which has been delayed due to US sanctions.
