How the price of the iPhone 14 series will change compared to the iPhone 13

One of Apple's tricks is unreasonably high prices for products. It is the large margin that allows the company to make excellent money on iPhone sales and collect the lion's share of the profits in this market. Fans of the Cupertino-based company should be prepared for the iPhone 14 series price hike.

A message appeared that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will increase prices for a number of models of the upcoming iPhone 14 series. This was announced by a network insider with the nickname LeaksApplePro. According to him, the price increase will only affect the Pro versions. The company is expected to introduce four models in September, where, in addition to the base model, it will offer the iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The price of the iPhone 14 will remain the same as the iPhone 13 at $ 799.

iPhone 14 Pro

The iPhone 14 Max will cost $ 100 more ($ 899) than the base version of the series and will debut in the company's lineup. The price increase will affect exactly the Pro versions. So, the iPhone 14 Pro can be priced at $ 1099, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max - at $ 1190. Against the background of the cost of its predecessors, the rise in price will be $ 100.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are rumored to have a 6,1-inch display. A 14-inch panel is prepared for the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 6,7 Pro Max. Smartphones are credited with the A16 Bionic chip, 6 GB of RAM, a 128/256/512/1024 GB flash drive, Touch ID recoil, a 12 MP selfie camera and a 48 MP sensor as the key in the main camera.

IPhone 2022 series

Many analysts predict that the 2022 iPhone will receive the Apple A16 chipset; which will be manufactured using TSMC's 3nm process technology. However, this may not happen. The Information reports that TSMC is facing production difficulties; which threaten to disrupt the launch of mass production of 3-nanometer products.

According to engineers familiar with the matter; the new 3nm processors won't be ready by the time the regular iPhone 14 is scheduled to launch. However, TSMC is expected to start producing 3nm chips ahead of its competitors anyway. However, delays in the launch of 3nm products could result in lost profits for TSMC.

Currently TSMC manufactures chips using 5nm process technology; and is preparing to launch N4P technology, which is an improved version of the 5nm process technology. TSMC intends to start production of chips based on N4P technology by the beginning of the second half of 2022. However, in the next few months, we will surely receive more information.
