Garmin Venu 2 Plus launched in India, promising 9 days of battery life

During CES 2022 earlier this month, Garmin unveiled a new smartwatch called the Garmin Venu 2 Plus to the world. The wearable is a modified version of the Garmin Venu 2 and has all the features of last year's model but improves the overall experience. Interestingly, Garmin updates its lines rather than trying new products. However, we can't really blame them as these upgrades are good enough to justify a purchase. The new Garmin Venu 2 Plus features a built-in microphone for calls, on-screen animated workouts and a new navigation button. Although initially limited to the US market, wearables are now entering the Indian market.

Indian buyers will be able to purchase wearables through major online channels. The list includes Amazon India, Flipkart, Tata CLiQ and synergizer.co.in. If online shopping isn't your thing, then you'll be pleased to know that offline channels like Croma, Just in Time, Helios, and GBS Stores will offer wearables as well. The wearable costs around INR 46 (~$990).

Venu 2 Plus also comes with Over 75 preloaded animated cardio and yoga workouts. , strength and HIIT.

Another feature of this smart watch is the built-in microphone. It allows users to make calls or even invoke smart voice assistants like Google Assistant and Siri right from their wrist. It's unclear if the wearable will later get Amazon Alexa support. This is an important feature for the Indian market as the Amazon Echo range has done well in the country.

The wearable also allows users to download music playlists from Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer. It also supports PayTM contactless payments. According to Garmin, a wearable device can last up to 9 days in a smartwatch. However, if you enable GPS, it will be reduced to 24 hours. What's more, if you turn on the GPS with music mode for workouts, the battery life will drop to 8 hours.
