On the other hand, we have companies pushing Android 11 updates and Microsoft is one of them. Microsoft finally releases Android 12 update for his very unusual Microsoft Surface Duo. The device was introduced in 2019 and only launched in 2020 with Android 10. This update was expected from 2021, but the company never had time to release it. Now update here, the problem is that it is already outdated, and Android 13 should be presented in a few months.
The update is rolling out with firmware version 2021.1027.156 and raises the Android security patch on Surface Duo to January 2022. The new update also improves Quick Settings and brings a brand new design for the app drawer and folders. Microsoft is also bringing an improved dual-screen experience to the device. Users will be able to view and edit photos in the OneDrive app.
