Samsung Galaxy F23 5G listed on Geekbench with Snapdragon 750G

The Samsung Galaxy F-series is known for its focus on cameras as well as its exclusivity in certain markets. In fact, not many original devices have come for these series, most of them are rebranded existing Galaxy A or M-series smartphones. It seems, Samsung working on a new rebrand for the 2022 season. The new smartphone will come with the Galaxy F23 5G moniker and has just been listed on Geekbench benchmarks.

The Galaxy F23 has model number SM-E236B and will apparently appear in some markets as the Galaxy M23. Let's see which device comes first and then we can tell which one is original or rebranded. Anyway, the phone passed the Geekbench test с the very familiar Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. For those who don't know, this chipset is the more economical 5G chip for the Snapdragon 700 series. The SoC is found inside smartphones such as the Galaxy A52 5G and even the OnePlus Nord CE. However, it has become obsolete in light of higher quality offerings such as Dimensity chips and even the Snapdragon 778G. However, this is still a very good SoC when you take into account the price.

The Galaxy F23 5G has been tested using Geekbench 5 standards. The device scored 640 in single-core tests and 1820 in multi-core. The listing also confirms the presence of an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, codenamed lito. The test also confirms 6 GB of RAM for this particular version, but we can also expect other RAM options. Additionally, this SoC comes with an Adreno 619 GPU. Interestingly, it runs Android 12 right out of the box, which means One UI 4 will run on top of it.

Galaxy F23 5G could arrive in a few months

This is the first time the Galaxy F23 5G has appeared online, however we expect more details to surface in the coming weeks. We can't even determine a possible launch date for this smartphone. After all, Samsung smartphones are notorious for leaks months before their launch. The device could appear anytime within the next few months. We expect more leaks before the release. However, it's plausible to expect a powerful selfie camera, an AMOLED display, and a big battery.

For now, all eyes are on the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. During the demonstration, the company will showcase the Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy Tab S8 series with Exynos 2200 processors and other new products.
